What is FCS Futures? --- FCS Futures is the Youth league of the Futsal Champions Series

What is the purpose of FCS Futures? ---FCS Futures' goal is to provide a clear futsal development pathway from U10 all the way up to the highest level of futsal in the country in the FCS both on the boys and Girls side.

How is the FCS Futures league formatted? --- The FCS Futures league consists of 6 divisions: U10, U12, U14, and U16 on both the boys and girls side. Each division will have between 4-6 teams with each team playing a home and away schedule against the other opponents.

Where will the home games for Lansing City FCS Futures be played? --- The Lansing City Arena

Where will we play our Away Games? --- Currently FCS Futures has clubs from Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Detroit, and Columbus, Ohio. however, the Columbus, Ohio group will not be playing home games and will be traveling to Lansing for their home games. This means it is a good chance we play a game or two in Detroit and a couple games on the west side of the state. 

When are our games played? --- FCS Futures games will be played on the weekends with an occasional possibility of a midweek evening game. The games will start in November and conclude in March. 

Will the FCS Futures games be broadcasted on FCS Live ---  No, they will not be routinely broadcasted on FCS Live, but the FCS Futures Finals will be broadcasted on FCS Live at the Lansing City Arena!

When are the FCS Futures Finals? --- March 14th at the Lansing City Arena 

What makes the FCS Futures different than other youth futsal leagues and tournaments?--- FCS Futures is the first connected futsal pathway to the highest level of futsal available in the United States, the FCS men's and women's leagues. FCS futures is the first league with mandated requirements on court sizes. No more tiny postage stamp futsal courts that degrade the game. FCS Futures games are also all stopped clock, which means the games are official FIFA Futsal length and format. These two changes make a huge difference in the way the game is experienced. 

• Cost is $525 for the winter-- This does not include uniforms (returning players from winter 2024/25 do not need to purchase uniforms). Payment plans are available as low as
  $162.5 per payment 
• Training runs from November 8th - March 14th -- Trainings will be at the Lansing City Arena at 904 Elmwood Rd, Lansing, MI 48917
• Team Trainings will be once per week on Saturday afternoons, plus Box Technical Sessions and 1v1 small group sessions on specified Tuesday and Thursdays.
• What are Box Technical Sessions? -- The Box is a 25 minute technical training session that is video led and done in the Box room at the Lansing City Arena. These sessions an be scheduled at anytime during the week or weekend. FCS Futures players are encouraged to complete at least one or two sessions per week in the Box. 
• What are 1v1 small group sessions? -- (NEW for 2026) this year we are adding a much larger version of the Box with goals on both sides. We will be using this training environment to have 1v1 & 2v2 tournaments, games, and small group sessions over the course of the season. 
• The age groups being offered for the Lansing City FCS Futures groups are the following.
  • U10 Boys (2017 birth year & 2016 birth year)
  • U12 Boys (2015 birth year & 2014 birth year)
  • U14 Boys ( 2013 birth year & 2012 birth year)
  • U16 Boys ( 2011 birth year & 2010 birth year)
  • U10 Girls (2017 birth year & 2016 birth year)
  • U12 Girls (2015 birth year & 2014 birth year)
  • U14 Girls  ( 2013 birth year & 2012 birth year)
  • U16 Girls ( 2011 birth year & 2010 birth year)

the 2026 Lansing City FCS Futures teams require tryouts. If you cannot attend the tryouts on October 11th. please fill out the tryout form and select. "Cannot attend tryouts". 

October 4th Pre-Tryout Training - on October 4th Lansing City will be hosting a pre tryout training at the LAnsing City Arena. The purpose of this training is to provide a low pressure, fun environment for players to try out futsal, see the arena, and get acclimated before the tryout day. There is no pre-registration required and no cost.

• Uniform Ordering - These uniforms will run in a two year cycle. This year is the second year of that cycle. Only first year players will need to order the basic uniform kit. Uniform Ordering   (You will need to wait for a number assignment from your coach before ordering)
  • Items required for 2026 FCS Futures Season Home Jersey Kit, Away Jersey Kit--All other items are optional -- Goalkeepers will need to order GK Kits instead of the regular jersey kit. Training kit is the same for GK
